Reboot’s 21 Core Tools are learner-led social, emotional and learning how-to-learn tools. Social and emotional learning has been identified to significantly enhance social and emotional skills, attitudes, behaviour, and academic performance. Reboot also recognises the extraordinary importance in our rapidly changing world of learning how-to-learn skills and learning power. Our young people need to be agile, self-directed, reflective, collaborative and innovative learners.

All of these skills need to be learnt and PRACTICED. When assumed but not yet developed we greatly disadvantage our children and undermine their capacity to be resilient and make the most of their potential.

Each of Reboot’s 21 Core Tools has bright visuals that illustrate clear processes and are accompanied by guiding questions. Rather than a weekly lesson alone, Reboot tools are designed to be embedded in daily interactions. Reboot tools can be used to support check-ins, problem-solving, managing relationships, building metacognition and understanding of learning, providing feedback, managing tricky emotions and adapting to challenges.
